Open it up, and on the right side, every surface that touches your precious pens is lined with soft suede, gently protecting them from scratches. On the left, two rows of pockets hold your memo pads, casual pens, or other writing companions, keeping everything neatly in place and ready whenever inspiration strikes.
Made from durable and supple Japanese glove leather, known for its lightness and strength. Originally used for baseball gloves, this leather is highly resistant to friction and becomes softer and more comfortable over time. Its rich colour comes from the deep-dyeing process, in which dye penetrates all the way to the core of the leather. Finished with special oils for added flexibility, it offers a soft, lightweight, and resilient texture that feels naturally smooth in your hand.
Founded by husband and wife team Makoto and Yoshimi Kawai, The Superior Labor is focused on producing goods in small batches, to the absolute highest quality. Goods that are durable, functional and showcase true craftsmanship.
Many items in the range incorporate elements and influence from the auto repair and vintage clothing industries. The small factory is a historic school building originally built in 1949, now dedicated to Superior Labor production.
