This palette contains a versatile combination of colours chosen by Sarah Simon, The Mint Gardener, that are perfect for capturing a range of subject matter including landscapes, still life, botanicals, and illustration work. The TMG Gouache contains warm and cool, modern and traditional colours. This palette features 12 filled half pans, and space to add another 12 half pans of your own choice (most standard half pans will fit in this palette).
Gouache is a water-based medium that dries to an opaque, matte finish. Colours can be applied in layers, artists refining and defining their painting as they work. Gouache can be diluted with water and used wet-in-wet applications in the same manner as watercolour, however the chalk content in gouache means it won’t bloom or flow like watercolour paint. Gouache is lightened by adding white and can be layered from dark to light due to its opaque nature. Colours are easily mixed with one another and can be used interchangeably with Stoneground watercolour paint.

The Stoneground Paint Co. was founded in 2017 by Canadian watercolour artist Eric Rowe and his daughter, Jenny.
