The HON (A6) is the a page-per-day format (Original and Cousin style) with a hardcover already attached to the book. Its daily pages offer plenty of space to fill despite the book’s compact A6 size. The graph paper offers an open layout for you to neatly lay out writings, clippings, and drawings.
The Bow & Tie series is covered with the same textured, shiny fabric used in neckties. The material has a beautiful gloss and is soft to the touch. This Bow & Tie cover features perfectly spaced, fluffy sheep roaming freely in a pasture woven into the vibrant green cover. You will spot sheep falling asleep, one jumping over a fence, one jumping over a fence and even one on a skateboard! The cover has been constructed as a light hardcover book with some give to it so it still bends.
After years of testing, the graph paper has been set to 3.7 mm for optimal writing comfort. The graph paper design allows users to write from any starting point on the page, and the lines have been printed in light colours so users can either customize it to their own layout or ignore it completely. The daily pages include a quote per two-page spread specially chosen from the Hobonichi website
The book uses thin and light yet durable Tomoe River paper. It's characterized by its ability to hold ink well and provide a smooth writing experience. The bookbinding on the HON has thread-stitch binding similar to the Hobonichi Techo books, so it opens 180 degrees onto the table. It stays flat even if you don’t hold it down.
