A highly anticipated HON edition has finally joined the immensely popular Yumi Kitagishi lineup! This piece features a selection of two artworks by illustrator Yumi Kitagishi. It is a vibrant and adorable dollhouse-themed design playfully scattered with her familiar white cat and other charming animals. The cover has been constructed as a light hardcover book with some give to it so it still bends.
The HON (A5) is the a page-per-day format (Original and Cousin style) with a hardcover already attached to the book. Its daily pages offer plenty of space to fill and the graph paper offers an open layout for you to neatly lay out writings, clippings, and drawings.
After years of testing, the graph paper has been set to 3.7 mm for optimal writing comfort. The graph paper design allows users to write from any starting point on the page, and the lines have been printed in light colours so users can either customize it to their own layout or ignore it completely. The daily pages include a quote per two-page spread specially chosen from the Hobonichi website
The book uses thin and light yet durable Tomoe River paper. It's characterized by its ability to hold ink well and provide a smooth writing experience. The bookbinding on the HON has thread-stitch binding similar to the Hobonichi Techo books, so it opens 180 degrees onto the table. It stays flat even if you don’t hold it down.
