Drehgriffel Nr. 1 - Sky
Inspired by the original 1920 design. The Drehgriffel Nr. 1 makes a striking statement, with its hexagonal silhouette. The tapered tip and the twist mechanism come in a colour to contrast with the body.
The name is a tribute to the culture of writing. It combines the word Dreh (twist), a reference to the twist mechanism, and the term Griffel (pen). The font is derived from the Sütterlin script. The original script was developed by the Berlin graphic artist and educator Ludwig Sütterlin for learning cursive writing, which became the widespread standard in Germany during the 1920s but was banned in 1941. Today, only a few people still master this special cursive writing style.
The twist mechanism and refill of this multiple design award-winning writing instrument are made in Germany. The Drehgriffel Nr. 1 is precision made in aluminium and brass, then varnished and sealed. It has a spring-loaded twist mechanism.
The Drehgriffel Nr. 1 is a ballpoint comes standard with royal blue ink, but we have black gel ink refils available to purchase seperately.
