Tennessee Red

The Tennessee Red pencil was born after the Musgrave Pencil Company (based in Shelbyville, Tennessee) found a source for pencil-ready Eastern Red Cedar.

This pencil has the most beautiful smell when sharpened and has rightly earned itself a cult following over the past few years.

With a simple matte clear coat the gorgeous cedar shines through. Completed by a bright red foil Tennessee Red imprint. The 3-star circle emblem is based on the Tennessee flag, celebrating their home state.

It comes with a high quality #2 core (that's the equivalient to HB in our standard grading system) so it's firm enough for handwriting and just soft enough for everyday sketching.

Please note: because of the nature of the wood - the delightfully aromatic Eastern Red Cedar - and the fact it shines through the coating, every pencil is slightly different.
