Jane Austen Playing Cards
These playing cards are inspired by Jane Austen's novels and characters in an authentic style. Each suit represents one of Austen's novels with each court represented by the novel's lead characters.
The design was inspired by fashion plates found in Ackermann's Repository of Arts - a British periodical that influenced and reflected culture from 1809 - 1829.
The cards are illustrated by John Eric Ligon and printed by the United States Playing Card Co. They are packaged inside a letterpress-illustrated box featuring embossed scrollwork and gold accents.
